They are a group of young Catholics who have intentionally chosen to live in community in order to foster their faith, fraternity and family life. Now, the residents of Cottonwood Farm near Ann Arbor have unveiled ambitious plans to erect a chapel dedicated to St. Joseph on their land.

For a group of families living on a historic farmstead some 10 miles northwest of Ann Arbor, it makes a difference in whether they’re allowed to keep chickens, rabbits, sheep and other livestock on their property, a judge ruled on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
